Terms of Service

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms govern the use of Focalize (the "Service") provided by JOINCLASS LLC (the "Company"). Users agree to these Terms when using the Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The following terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

  • "User": An individual or entity using the Service
  • "Tenant": The organizational unit to which a User belongs
  • "Content": Data created or stored by Users on the Service

Article 3 (Account Registration)

Account registration is required to use the Service. Users must provide accurate information and update it promptly if changes occur. Users are responsible for managing their account information, and transfer or lending to third parties is prohibited.

Article 4 (Fees)

Paid plan fees are as specified in the pricing page. Fees are prepaid, and refunds are generally not provided. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price changes.

Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)

Users must not engage in the following activities:

  • Activities that violate laws or public order
  • Activities related to criminal acts
  • Activities that infringe on intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
  • Activities that interfere with Service operations
  • Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  • Sending spam emails
  • Other activities deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 6 (Service Changes/Suspension)

The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:

  • System maintenance or inspection
  • Force majeure such as natural disasters or power outages
  • Other cases deemed necessary by the Company

Article 7 (Intellectual Property)

Intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Company. Rights to Content created by Users belong to Users, but Users grant the Company a license to use such Content to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

The Company does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or usefulness of the Service. The Company is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 9 (Withdrawal)

Users may withdraw from the Service at any time by following the withdrawal procedure in the settings. Data after withdrawal will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.

Article 10 (Changes to Terms)

The Company may change these Terms as necessary. Changed Terms become effective upon posting on the Service. We will provide advance notice for significant changes.

Article 11 (Governing Law/Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Any disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
